To Nubians, the Ankh represented the sacred balance between Black male and
Black female energies and symbolized eternal life, bestowing immortality on
any Black person who possessed it. The Black & Conscious feel that the life
force emanating from the Ankh can be absorbed by anyone within a certain
nearness. The Ankh serves as an antenna or conduit for the divine power of

THE GODDESS MA'AT
Ma'at represents the ideals of justice, order, truth and balance. She bestowed order
upon the order of creation in the First Times. In the Judgment Hall of the Tuat, the
heart of the deceased is weighed against Ma'at's feather, to decide the fate of a soul
before Osiris.

THE GODDESS MUT
Mut is the divine mother. A representation of the divine motherhood principal, with the
qualities of protecting and nurturing their young. The Feminine Divine, she is thought to
be the mother of mothers. In ancient times she represented the mother of the pharaoh
and was believed to be the one who created and gave birth to all.

Heru was the son of Ausar (Osirus) and Auset (Isis), the divine child of our holy trinity. He
was known before the advent of hieroglyphic writing (medu neter). His name means
"hewho is above" and "he who is distant". Heru is symbolized by the falcon as a cosmic
diety whose body represents th heavens and whose eyes represent the sun and the moon.
